Posted - 05/26/2017 : 10:36:35 I noticed PG went to a new DiamondKast game app, What are you opinions on this new app. So far I am not impressed with its performance! Does not give you the feel of being there. GC atleast you could invision what was going on.
Anyone else have any opinion. |

Posted - 06/12/2017 : 15:23:37 I gave up this week. just going and finding individual teams on Game Changer is better. It's too bad they made the change but who can blame them - it's all in the name of making a buck. |

Posted - 06/09/2017 : 12:14:56 Watching game now as it seems to be free for this weekends tourney for the 17U at Lakepoint. It is terrible. Runners go from first to second and you don't know if they stole, it was a passed ball/wild pitch, nothing. The pitch by pitch gets way behind too. It just totally missed an entire inning. No way I would ever pay a dime for this. PG better figure out something else because this is not going to work. |

Posted - 06/07/2017 : 01:14:20 Any chance this is operator error? That is, the overpaid and underperforming PG scorekeepers just not paying attention? It is so frustrating that they can't keep up with posting balls and strikes much less hits and errors on the scoreboard so it would not surprise me if they couldn't use the new game app either. |

Posted - 06/06/2017 : 09:35:05 DiamondKast so bad... What does this even mean
Single Ground to LF Reached on Error? So did the batter hit a grounder to LF and the guy missed it so they give him an error or did he hit a grounder to L side of IF. Be glad when they get it fixed.
IT gets better the next batter struck out swinging but showing up on 1st base now. Then the next paragraph shows 2 more pitches and the batter walks? It reminds me of how baseball was really invented if you havent seen it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8gGXAOkbfI |

Posted - 06/01/2017 : 11:39:44 I can never figure out the score until the game is over! Top of page says 0-0 They should have everything at the top. Instead of the awful scroll mode
Getting better but still way behind GC and really not very user friendly.
I also see they have MPH on there today, haven't seen anyone really throwing hard yet, I wonder if it pulls from scoreboard? a radar gun someone is holding or what? I do like that feature but rather see the score than MPH if I had a choice. |

Posted - 05/30/2017 : 17:23:43 Age 14 and younger are free to get in to Perfect Game. Don't know about other organizations, but I am glad my younger kid is still 14. You don't have to pay for them until they turn 15. Maybe by then they will actually watch the games instead of doing the constant back and forth to the concessions.... |

Yes paid 15.00 but good news is getting refund. What a horrible product. Since stuck at work most days will try it one more time. If still stinks will pay his little brother to go and record games on gamechanger for me since he has nothing to do all summer in the mornings. I will just pay him and the rest of the parents stuck at desk at work can just use that. Hopefully they get it fixed. The 14 year old will not like being at field on Thursday at 7:00 am.
Under 14 is free admission - you might want to reconsider how old little brother is. |

Posted - 05/30/2017 : 07:42:53 1. Yes it was $15 this weekend, or $40 for a 1 year subscription. However, due to all the technical glitches in their roll-out weekend they refunded many people.
2. PG doesn't own GC, so all the data that your kid hit X amount this weekend with 5 extra base hits is lost, however, PG owns DiamondKast and has plans to attach what your kid did in each game to their profile. This should help college coaches see if they just saw your kid on a good day or if that is typically how he performs in games.
3. We here at NWGA can get lost thinking that the "real" baseball season is February to June when in reality for 15u and up it is June-August. PG launched this at the beginning of the season for the older kids, and it is the older kids that would benefit from this data being on their page not the under 15u kids.
For anyone who has/had issues with DiamondKast please compose a SHORT email detailing your glitches and send them to staff@perfectgame.org, put the subject as DiamondKast feedback. We as the users understand far better what we want to see on there than the creators do. They won't know what to fix and what we want to see unless we tell them.

Posted - 05/28/2017 : 11:44:41 BREAMKING - You payed $15.00? I thought it was free this weekend. I was looking for prices but could never find any. Was that for the tournament or for a month? Over on hsbaseballweb PGSTAFF said that the hope is that teams will start using it in other tournaments not sponsored by PG so that all the data could be captured on individual player's profiles even if the player is not at a PG event. Is that something parents and players want? |

Posted - 05/27/2017 : 17:39:22 The site servers are hosted by godaddy and registered to the person's name who is the National Director of Youth Baseball for PG Baseball. That says a whole lot about DiamondKast to me. Seems like they would have tried to roll it in the fall. But to each their own. |

Posted - 05/27/2017 : 15:12:22 Went to take a look at what is going on today and found this message:
"Due to some server issues, we have been forced to turn the Play-by-Play function off for the immediate future. We are working diligently to get this issue solved and will get the Play-by-Play back as soon as possible. All stats are still being captured and will be updated on the website after games are completed. We apologize for the inconvenience at this time and look forward to offering it at your next Perfect Game event."
Wonder if they will be offering refunds for those of you that purchased the event since you are not getting what you paid for? I am very underwhelmed and would really like to have Gamechanger back! |

Well that's because I have seldom if ever seen the PG gamechanger scorer actually record an error. In fact I'm not sure exactly what constitutes a fielding error there? So why start now with the Diamondkast? Balls thru SS legs are scored as hits. Every overthrow of 1B is a legged out infield 45 hopper hit.
Who needs defense when its all about the K, and the batting average.
I know my wife will ring you up with an error in a heartbeat
Passed balls and wild pitches have to be in there too...........It's the only way to keep a somewhat accurate level of stats like ERA etc.... Game Changer is Awesome and my wife has become Very good at it. It really makes you feel like you know what is going on. Have not looked into the Diamonkast, but I dont think I will waste my time. Thanks for the heads up folks! |

Posted - 05/26/2017 : 12:28:30 I signed up today as well. Game changer is way better. I don't see that Diamond even has a iphone app? The pitchers did not reflect what was going on, on the field. Like Hurricane said you pay for something like this you want to feel like you are almost at the game which I thought Game changer did. I am sure they will work some of these bugs out but I did see the PG website lag etc. What I did not like was the descriptions of the plays. Also they did not account for pickoffs. Some innings would show 1 out 2rd out but you had no idea how the 2nd out was recorded. Total Errors never showed at the top. All games showed 0. Also a lot of having to scroll and the beauty of Game changer is the pitch by pitch, every pitch ball strike etc. This thing was not even close in that regard. For $15.00 for a tournament I would like to see some video or even play by play radio would be worth it. That is where they need to go in the future. |

Posted - 05/26/2017 : 11:17:03 Gamechanger was way better. I hope it gets better but man these perfect game people are good another way to get your money. I can not even tell who is at bat. what happens during the play. How someone got out. So far I am not happy and wish I had my 15.00 back. It could be good if it gave mph like on scoreboard and a little more detail of the game. Hopefully someone on the team will put the games on gamechanger moving forward I liked it better. |
