Bought my kid some Boombah cleats and they didn't wear very well at all. They looked cool but after a couple of tourney's they looked like a 2 dollar dog. We wear the Mizuno mids. They do the best.

For anyone looking to try out new cleats for the Spring.....give the Nike swingman rb a try. Very light and great ankle support.

I see that you can also get them to custom make gloves also on their web site. The price seemed about $40 less than other sites I quickly went to last night. Not to jump subjects but how good are the gloves?

Yes the Boombah holds up fine, the mizunos did not for my son. He catches so he puts a lot more stress on the front half of foot which caused the cletes to split. When he pitches he drags his toe and that part of the clete also wore out.

I did quite a bit of research on weight and support. For my money and in my mind, I'd recommend the Warrior Burn shoes. It wore very well for a molded cleat and was great for dew and rain / moisture. It's actually a Lacrosse cleat. The other reason I like it is that I like my kid in a mid height cleat vs. a low cleat for additional support. These are at the top of my list. Probably have to cut and paste into your browser.

C. MORTON; We play alot of ball and my son has worn them all, the best clete we have found for longevity are Mizuno cletes. They have a tall clete and are the lightest. The Boombah cletes look nice but the clete wears away fast and they weigh a ton. I know they come in a varity of colors but I don't recommend them. Nike cletes wear away fast to.

I see them a lot more in girls softball because the girls like all the different colors.

I was wondering more of the lines of do they hold up for a full season of travel ball??

Most of the Stixx players use them without any problems with the exception of that ugly vegas gold color. LOL
