Coaches,
In this economy, who wouldn't want some "almost" free slightly used (23 games) uniforms? I have vests, belts, hats, batting helmets, some pants, socks, and practice jerseys. I can tell you where to purchase any missing pieces, or special sizes to match. All I ask in return, is a $250 donation to be made to benefit a boy who's family could use some help to offset travel-ball costs, and a digital pic e-mailed to me of your current team (so I know your not re-selling these items).
Your team would be the Knights, and the uni's are red, black, gold. Wilson slick helmets are black/gold. Cost new was ~$1,500. These are very sharp uni's. Any takers? |

I can not get anyone to answer the phone. I think beisbol papa is pulling our chains. We did not play today. We had a practice. I will check again with my friend in Calhoun. He works at the Mohawk Industries plant and said he had heard of coach Manuel so I believed they were real. Maybe coach Manuel exists but doesnt have a team. I was hoping they would play triple crown as the Knights but I guess they dropped out. The best way to determine if they do exist is to ask Tony at Triple Crown who entered the Fall State tournament as the "Knights" and then dropped out. He should at least have some contact info for that team. If you get anywhere Papa let me know. I've wasted enough time trying to play these guys. We can only worry about the teams that enter the tournaments.

I still say that someone or a few someone's are pulling our chain and at this point are pyling in on. For this team to exist so close to me and for me not to know anything or anyone playing on it is as unlikely as a bear not loving honey. I hope they do exist as nothing excites me more than another new challenge but I can't play them until I find them.

Baseballpapa,I contacted Manuel and Vega they are putting a team together.They said they feel like alot of people aare trying to help them out but said they really just want some respect.Baseballbrad has accepted practice game with them and are playin tomorrow or in week if weather helps.They have decided to change their team name ,Does anyone have any suggestions because he felt as if we stepped on toes with one we have? |

Has anyone been able to contact Coach Vega. Papa lives 20 minutes from what they say is their practice field. Papa will be glad to visit them at practice and put an end to the speculation one way or the other. |

You may be on to something Papa. The Knights dropped out of the Triple Crown so maybe they are not for real. Who deliverd the Knights uniforms to coach Vega? Maybe they could shed some light on the situation? I feel like an idiot as I tried to get a practice game with them. Someone did contact me about the game but I cannot get them to answer when I call back. Coach Vega if you are out there please respond to these rumors and let us know if you are for real. At least give Papa his uniforms back if you are not for real.

I hear this is a disgruntled parent that left the East Cobb program and is now playing further South.

I just noticed that Bandits beisbol and coach Vega have entered the
Triple crown tournament as the "Knights" They must be using the uniforms that BaseballPapa so graciously donated. It will be great to finally see them in person and hopefully play them. It will interesting to see how the latin style of play differs from our style especially in the infield. They must be a small team if they can fit into these uniforms since they are listed as 7u, 8u, or 9u.

At first I wasn't sure if Bandits Beisbol was for real since manuel spelled "gracias" incorrectly, but now I see coachvega got it right. Maybe manuel just has difficulty spelling. I'm more convinced they are for real now and hope to get to see them play! Manuel or coachvega --- have you considered playing in the Triple Crown State tournament coming up? |

Bmoser and mr. papa I got some uniforms in my garage could donate also. They are from a team from south georgia called the southern heat. They are grey pinstripe. They were used for one season. Got Vest and pants and some socks and belts. I got to check them and make sure water did not get in them during the flood (basement flooded a little). But if anybody needs these they have been sitting in my garage for three years collecting dust and this sounds like a great cause you guys are doing. |

If they are for real then Papa would not mind helping them out. I normally do not put any conditions on helping any team out but I will insist that if I do have the opportunity to help that Manuel learn to spell beisbol (baseball) the right way. |

I think they are referring to Bandits Beisbol out of Calhoun. I have some friends in Calhoun who have heard of Coach Manuel and say he is a great baseball guy. I expect big things from them this year in the 11U age group. I originally thought they were a joke but this new info makes me believe they are for real! I think it is a nice gesture to help them out.

I am from Calhoun and make trips twice a week to East Cobb for baseball practice for my 12U son...I can make delivery of the uniforms if needed... |
