My guess is Norwalk goes undefeated throughout the entire tournament. Great tournament format.

Kebryan pitched 3 innings against the 0-3 Simi team. He is a very good player, but he wasn't the difference in the tournament as you would like to believe. The Rattlers were the better team against Norwalk and I don't doubt they would have beaten them again in the championship had Norwalk done what was required to advance.

Guess thats why they play the game, but I would certainly still put my money on Norwalk. 3 super NITs, Not loosing a game all year long until this tournament, the California State USSSA title, the Elite 32 title and the Number 1 travel ball select ranking and something like a 10-1 record against Nationaly Ranked teams and a 5-0 record against top 3 ranked teams. They didnt even make the bracket play because of some crazy tie breaker rule that I have never heard of before.

Hats off to the Rattlers, they were hitting everything and were hot as can be that weekend. They really got hot at year end beating the Lamorinda Cougars in the super series final. They also beat TABU in the cooperstown final as well. Having Kebryan Hayes didnt hurt either. He is the pitcher that shut down the Legends at Cooperstown for the Houston Sox.

Looks to me like someone wanted the coronation a little too soon. Heck, the Cali team isn't even mentioned in the article !

Well, looks like the Norwalk coronation was a bit premature. Seems the Rattlers had other plans. Congrats to them.

I agree that Norwalk is that good. Watch out for Puerto Rico, deep, deep, deep on the mound and good power. But are they all really 12U, not sure myself having seen them up close. They are faster than any team I have seen all year, watch out, everything is a double. Also, breaking pitches I have not seen coast to coast.

The same two players were the starting pitcher and catcher for TABU during their week 4 championship game loss to Team Rattlers.

The 10's and 12's for AABC World Series is in Pureto Rico, But AABC pay for the entire trip, Airline Tickets for Coach's and Players, Hotel for the entire stay, Food for the players and Coach's and Transportation to and from the Ball fields and all the events, Never seen a tournament like this.

10U Red Sox

Not an excuse just something to let 12U Coach know that we also felt that this would be a good thing for Georgia baseball but that it just didn't work out for us this time around. I have to agree with you, I was shocked when I saw the dates of some of the 10U tournaments, they were obviously saying CDP or us.
I know that Uncle Lou (CDP for those who have never been) tried to do this with NATC in the early days, but no one wanted to miss a week of school, it took his competition (Mr. Einhorn owns one of the competing Cooperstown programs as well as part of the White Sox) to make it happen.
I would love for someone who has a group of teams or a league try to work on this...

This year, true.

In my opinion the Norwalk Stingrays may be the best 12u team ever compiled. There record is incredible and they havent lost a single game in USSSA events all year and all they play in are Major tournaments week in and week out.

The Rays are formidable, and they've had some close battles with Lamorinda this year. The Texas Rattlers are very good, too. I'm quite sure they'll give 'em a game.

Great that's 2 tournaments, what about the 6 others. I know I am sounding like a shill for this tournament, but, if people want to prove that Georgia is a contender, then think OUTSIDE THE STATE...

I was hoping they would expand the age groups to something other than the 10's and 12's. Those are the two that are also playing at Cooperstown so there is a lot of reluctance to go to some of the World Series events after that. Not to mention they have all these league tie-in's that travel ball teams don't have access to. (i.e. Dixie Youth, Pony, Babe Ruth, etc) AABC was in Puerto Rico for 12U so that is quite a commitment to travel to. Especially if you spent a week in Cooperstown earlier in the season.

Shamrocks lost the AABC world series championship game and no one really got into the elite 32 world series. I dont think they saw much of a chance to win it anyways. Too bad so few Georgia Teams did anything to try and qualify
