Hello!
Do any of you have any information you can share about this seemingly new organization conducting tryouts and a clinic locally? (USA Showcase Baseball)
Who are they?
Where did they come from?
Who is Mike Richards who's doing the promotion?
What is their background?
Who are their coaches?
It sounds like a good program but I am curious because I can't seem to find any information on them. Any insight is appreciated. |

5. Tournaments: We will play in all Perfect Game events per age group. We will play in all Perfect Game tournaments hosted at Lakepoint. We will also play our teams up 1 age group in Perfect Game events when their current age group does not have a Perfect Game tournament available. Our 15-18u teams are Perfect Game schedule based teams. If Perfect Game is not available we will play in college showcase events. Our 10u-14u teams will also play a PG schedule when available. When PG is not available, we will play Triple Crown.
6. We have committed kids in each age group for 10u-18u. We do not discriminate on size. Our rosters in each age group have multiple size athletes. Speed and agility is an important factor in our decision process.
7. No gate or parking fees during the season for practices

So, you will have paid coaches, practice at a very high end facility and play in all PG events...wow...I see dollar signs adding up very quick, will you be doing fundraising? |

They called when I asked about tryouts and I was told the following:
They will only play Perfect Game at 13u, if no PG then TC
1 paid coach at games, I think he gave me a name...
Lakepoint is practice field in fall, not sure if I asked about spring.
They want big kids -size was very important to him.
Speed and agility not important.
They are going to be a Major team:)
I wasn't sure I wanted to tryout, but he was willing to just meet son to see if he was athletic.
We didn't attend the tryout, so I can't offer anymore info.

This^^^ if you get in touch with them, they'll call you back. We had a Very good overall first impression at the 13u tryout and we are really looking forward to the camp.......I believe anyone will learn something there. |

Perhaps you should email them directly. It's hard to have any opinions on something so new. |
