Job Title: Head Travel Baseball Coach – Range 9u to 16u

The Georgia Octane Baseball Organization was founded three years ago and was developed based on these core principles – Accountability, Responsibility, Attitude, Effort and Integrity. By abiding by these core principles, we have expanded to 9 teams and are in need of quality coaches that love to work with young athletes. 

The head coach must first and foremost be a positive role model who enjoys being with, and providing guidance to young athletes. They should possess mastery of his/her respective sport; have an established, successful methodology, be able to assess athlete skill levels, address areas of improvement and establish individual goals for each player. A head coach should also have a clear understanding of the mission and vision of our organization and willing to participate in activities beyond athletic coaching responsibilities. As situations do arise, the head coach must have the ability to adjust plans accordingly and maintain a level of flexibility.
 
Job Summary
¥ Provide baseball instruction (hitting, pitching, fielding and catching to young athletes)
¥ Provide individual and group lessons, evaluate lessons and adapt lesson based on athlete's development
¥ Head Coach for travel teams ranging from 9u to 16u.
¥ Care for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each athlete 
¥ Conduct skill evaluations and assist athletes in setting individual goals 
¥ Complete mid-session written evaluations for each athlete and assistant coach 
¥ Be involved in daily lives of athletes and coaches; update Manager of On Field Operations with concerns on a consistent basis, seeking guidance when necessary
 
Minimum Qualification Requirements
¥ Ability to adapt to Georgia Octane coaching philosophies
¥ Ability to work nights and weekends
¥ Ability to work well with children
¥ Ability to work enthusiastically towards the developmental of young athletes
¥ Positive person with leadership qualities
¥ Must be reliable and punctual
¥ Effective communication skills with young athletes and Parents
¥ Professional appearance
¥ Candidate must live in and or around the Cumming GA area
¥ 4 years of college playing experience or professional playing experience
¥ At least two years of individual, group or baseball team coaching is preferred
¥ Prior teaching is a plus, but not required
