My son’s red -8 dimarini CF3 end cap has come loose. It has not come completely off but you can tell it’s not completely on properly. I have heard this is a relatively common issue with this bat and we have never had a warranty issue with any bat before. Can anyone tell me if this will cause the bat to loose its pop and will Dimarini cover this under warranty? It’s still under warranty.

Actually, I had a great experience with Rawlings recently.

I bought a Rawlings Rush for my son last summer and it dented within the first 2 weeks. I let him use it through the rest of the fall season and then had a replacement bat shipped from Rawlings over the Christmas break so that it could be replaced during our down time.

I have to say their warranty people were really good. They walked me through the process and even followed up after I received the bat to make sure the replacement bat was working well for us. I thought that was a great touch.

Received the "replacement" bat yesterday. The replaced the 2008 model with a new 2009 pitch black model. As stated by someone earlier "No Return" was engraved on the barrell just above the connection to the handle. Needless to say my son is thriled. Used it in practice last night and was driving the ball. As Yogi said "90% of hitting is half mental."

Of all the bat manufacturers, Demarini is the by far the best to work with. My 16 yr old son's bat cracked after 14 months, 1 3/4 seasons of baseball. I sent it in with the receipt and received a new model to replace it. The year previous my younger son's bat cracked 2 weeks out of warranty and they replaced it no questions. I wished I could say the same for Louisville and Rawlings. Had terrible experiences with their warranty departments. Either I am lucky, or they understand their products short-comings and any reasonable request will be honored.

It will be a new bat. It will, however, have the word "replacement" engraved very small down near the top of the handle. That's how they ensure that you don't continue to break bats over & over again and seek a replacement.

Most of the time it is a NEW bat..We got the newest model from Lousiville when Ours cracked...I would think they all would want repeat customers!!!!!!!!

Our 1st Demarini cracked, and they sent a replacement bat (w/no warranty). The end cap dislodged on the replacement bat after just a few weeks, and while we were able to get it back on - the bat had no pop. Demarini agreed to take it back - repair it or possibly replace it @ no cost to us. This just occured - so we have not recieved the bat back to see if replaced or repaired. They were very nice about it, and easy to work with. Since it was so soon after replacement perhaps they were more willing to "bend" their rules.
If you feel the bat has no pop - send it back. Their reputation is on the line in very compeitive times - they will accomodate.

Check your warranty carefully. You are probabaly entitled to a replacement, not a repair or refurb, if it breaks within 400 days of purchase. As an earlier poster said, insist on a replacement bat.

Thanks for the input. The cap will not seat, it just flexes in place with about 1/8 - 3/16" gap. Not too woried about repair/replace issue the bat is 10 month's old so warranty is almost done.

Thanks for the info

Know what you are getting before you agree to send it back. Will hitting it on the end not seat the cap back down into the bat?

We sent one back and they replaced the cap. It's fine now. Didn't seem to have as much pop before it was replaced
