What are some things you like/dislike about tournaments and how they are ran. What would you like to be done differently? Any new ideas you would like to see? |

People smoking near kids, at a youth event or not, is moronic. People going WAY out in the parking lot are to be commended. Turnit, these people aren't smoking to LOOK cool, they smoke because they have an addiction. As long as it is done away from the children and the cigarette ends are properly disposed of I see no problem with this. |

I was gonna say something about the strike zone too, but thats an umpire issue.
I would like to address though, that maybe it would be nice if the TD would indicate a desire for a strike zone that doesn't exceed 1 or 2 baseball widths off the plate as a maximum to call a strike(they can do that at the an umpires meeting). Its simply not fair to ring a kid up on a pitch that is almost a foot off the plate and the kid absolutely KNOWS the Pitch is way OFF the Plate! |

Smoking being tolerated / not enforced. And honestly people, it's a youth sporting event. You look like a giant moron even if you are smoking WAY out in the parking lot at a youth sporting event. |

That is a good rule. Especially at places like ECB where the resources to fix the issues are clearly available. |

One very basic thing that seems to absolutely baffle me is that over half the tournaments my son plays in have fields with scoreboards that don't work. |
