Greg Lomax posted his 1,000th post on this forum today. His post announced his retirement from the forums. Hopefully we can talk him out of this decision for the betterment of youth baseball. His insights and experience that he has shared on these forums has helped many players, coaches and parents as they navigate the world of travel baseball with its many organizations, rules and personalities.

Greg, thanks for the contributions in helping build youth baseball in this area to be as competitive as anywhere in the world. Baseball needs people like you to pave the road for those who come behind. This is an open invitation for you to continue to contribute in any capacity you see fit.

Baseball Papa would have to put up at least 3000 posts to be as informative as Mr. Lomax's 1000. Thank you sir for helping promote this great game called baseball. I have enjoyed reading everything you wrote and understood where you were coming from 99% of the time.
To do what you did requires passion for the game and if we can teach these children nothing else, passion would be a great place to start.

I might could pass you if you could help me get some of my posts by the Moderator.

Blast from the Lomax Past:

Now that you've put that key stat out for all to see, surely he will increase the intensity and be at the 1K mark by 12/31/08. Always good to read his opinions. I have to say that I agree with about 90%. The other 10% I don't understand anyway and probably never will.

Have fun in NC this weekend. Good luck to your guys!
