This is for those travel coaches who are not associated with a particular park booster club in Forsyth County.

There is a parks and rec board meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 1 (2300 Keith Bridge Rd, Cumming).

I would highly encourage anyone not associated with a park booster club but are a resident of Forsyth County to attend this meeting and let them know about your efforts to rent field space in the county you live.

Why am I posting this? I have three kids who attend Forsyth County schools, we live in Forsyth County, I own a business in Forsyth County but because my kids nor teams play under a park name, I can't rent fields in this county. I think it's time for a change in regards to the policies that are in place to accommodate those who live here and pay taxes here. It's frustrating that a FC staff member can rent the fields for personal gain for tours and such but coaches can't rent them or the improvement of their players, who by the way live in the county as well.

Change comes in numbers and we need the numbers to get the county to see that there is a problem.

If you can't make it for whatever reason but agree with Forsyth County needing a change in parks policies, please post here.

I hope to see many of you at this meeting.

Thanks!
