Going to Cooperstown in a week, what have you seen as far as not compliant bats being used and does it really make a difference? Do a lot of people track down something that isn't USSSA stamped? |

I had a game with 15 homeruns in 4 innings. Granted 14 of them were from the team that won that week, but the littlest guy on the team hit a grand slam and a solo shot in that game. The 200 foot fence helps. There are still some absolute bombs hit. One no doubter went around 350-375. |

@scurray--it is extremely common in Cooperstown to see entire teams swinging one bat. As a matter of fact, I have seen swings there that could be the worst fundamental swings I have seen and the ball has cleared the fence easily.

It's a launching ground... Homeruns will not be an issue...
Easton made some stealth and rival bats with really good pop that didn't have a thumbprint. The LSS4XL was a real popular bat.
My son still talks about his orange Rival. I have it in the basement for his younger brother to use in C-town. |

Yes, I knew there are no restrictions other than no wood bats, I'm curious from those that have gone, do you see a lot of kids using shaved/rolled bats, as well as tracking down older "hotter" bats. From those that go, how many go to the trouble to find something that might have more pop without the USSSA stamp? My son is a contact hitter with some power, who has one HR on a 225' field, but a little extra help couldn't hurt to help him come away with a cooperstown HR. Not that I would go the shaved / rolled route, but maybe ebay for a used bat. |

Almost right, no wooden bats allowed, which i think stinks, but it is what it is!
The exact rule is: "Teams provide their own bats for game play (no size or weight restrictions)
(NO WOODEN BATS)."
