Yeah I am sure if he took steroids intentionally he would admit it. Cream? what does that mean, Barry Bonds used a Cream and a Clear is that OK? Maybe they should have a steroid league where all drugs are legal and a non steroid league. The problem I have is kids are not competing on the same level playing field if they are honest and abiding by the rules. It's funny though when a player gets caught people just forget about it most of the time instead of saying well had it not been for taking this or that they wouldn't have gotten that far. And people that think guys werent using steroids in the early 70's dont know much about steroids.

Posted - 04/22/2015 : 08:13:59 its interesting to hear the debate? don't pretend your worried for their health as i doubt many are. If you are worried it will send the wrong message to kids fair enough but i think kids know pro athletes use them anyway as well as hgh etc. Heck marijuana is legal in most states and so is alcohol so i also do not want kids using them.
HGH? Aderol? There are many many college kids buying aderol just to keep up with homework during the season.
I really think the purity of records etc is overblown as most have no idea about them
Did anyone not enjoy sosa mcquire HR derby?
So whether i agree or disagree its a good rainy weekend topic for banter. |

Posted - 04/20/2015 : 19:21:22 Here's what gets me. McKirahan states; ''I am extremely sorry for letting down the Atlanta Braves organization, my coaches, teammates and the Braves fans. This is in no way a reflection of my character or morals. I will work hard during my suspension and pray that everyone will find it in their hearts to forgive me.''
It is an ABSOLUTE reflection on his character and morals. He's sorry he got caught, not sorry for letting anyone down. Your character and morals are reflected on what you do. What you do is a reflection of what's in your heart.
Unbelievable to me that anyone would believe him or anyone else who claims that their actions are not a reflection of their character and morals. Now if he can produce some evidence that he has been coerced into taking drugs because some cartel was holding his family at gunpoint, I'll buy it, but absent that . . . .
I second a ban on a failed 2nd positive. |
