Keeping Score by Jami Deise is a story about a 9 year olds first experience with Travel Baseball. It takes place in Maryland/DC area but it was so funny to read and brought back great memories....especially the first time I heard a parent wishing a 9 year old would drop the ball in the outfield...something to be said when grown adults are hoping a 9 year old fails at something.
I highly encourage ALL travel baseball parents to read and or listen to this book because it gives a perspective that maybe some of us have forgotten about...the love of the game...and our boys growing up and in particular what crazy demented people us parents sound like sometimes! |
