coaches that have the chutzpah to announce their NEW TEAM and their NEW TEAM TRYOUTS, but don't use the good sense that God has given them to leave their name!!! (or maybe its because they're using the good sense He gave them that they don't ;))

Come on, guys. Its as much fun as responding to blind ads in the newspaper. Most sensible folks think you've got to be hiding something.

That's what really gets my goat this day, Thursday, July 31, 2008.

My goat has been gotten by folks that use a baseball message board to tell the whole baseball community what gets their goat. Big deal if a coach doesn't want to list his or her name, whether he or she has good reputation or not. It's not like the kids will play for a mythical coach. Frankly, I kind of like not having my name all over this board and I've listed my name and not listed my name. And bobcatbaseball, you're right on the money, this is the most frustrating time of the year for baseball coaches. Someday the stud 12 year-old will be in a contract year for next season. ugh......

How about parents who treat the try-out process like agents for their "future major league all stars?" Scott Boras would be put to shame with their antics--committing and decommitting to teams. The craziness and scrambling has begun. This part of the year brings out crazy parents, bad coaches, and the ugly part of youth sports. Madness!

I love these types of conversations.

Who else has one?
