Hi we are moving to Atlanta from Cleveland with a son currently playing 11U here. Any advice regarding where to play/tryout when we arrive? Thank you in advance.

There are many good teams and programs around the Johns Creek area. The next thing to know is the level at which your son has played or better yet the level he should play. That will be a major factor in determining the best program to join. You should have him try out for many different programs to see where he and your family fit the best. Team Georgia, Alpharetta Titans, South Forsyth Giants are just a few of the possibilities. Be sure to check the 11u and 12u Team Openings and Tryouts forums. Like SSBuckeye stated, most programs and teams will have tryouts in late July / early August and all should post the information on the forums.

Thank you for responding. We are going to live in Johns Creek. I have heard from several nice people on these forums that there are two teams in Alpharetta? I'd love to know if anyone knows who will be the 12U coaches next year in that area? Thank you very much.

Welcome from a former Ohioan! You really need to first decide in what part of town you plan to live. There are good programs all over the city, and you would likely want to start with the local teams due to traffic here. Plan to try out in late June through early August for any of the travel teams. This site is a great resource to get those specific dates. Good luck!
