My son is transferring from Newtown Park to Wills Park and we were interested in trying out for travel baseball. I understand there is a "House League" and possibly a "House Select" team at Will's Park at this age level. What about a 9U "A" travel team? Not sure where to go for information. Just looking for a fun travel team for my son where he can learn and compete against kids equal to his skill level. Thanks!

LSU -

First - Best of luck to your family and your son! 9U is such a fun age. My son grew up playing @ Wills, and had a good experience. We've been fortunate to find good travel teams & coaching, that have been pretty close too!

Since your in the same area as us - u can check out this link for the list of Wills Travel teams and coaches - but reach out to David Mitchler, he'll help connect ya with the coaches; http://www.wpyba.org/players/travel.html

However, since you've found this forum - recommend ya going to the following link; http://www.nwgabaseball.org/snitz/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=16

GREAT resource to find out the different teams in the area. I'm sure others will chime in here too, but do your homework about the teams and coaches! There are LOTS of teams out there, and the most important thing is trying to find the 'right' team for your son/family.

BTW: Go Gamecocks! Hopefully both make it to Omaha.
