High School tryouts will be kicking off today in GA. Good Luck to all of the prospective players and families.
If you get selected, Congratulations!! If you do not..just realize that it is not the end of the world. I've seen too many players (and parents) get waayy to distraught over not making their HS baseball program. There is life after baseball.
Work hard, play hard..but at the end of the day...remember it is still supposed to have an element of "fun" to it. |

There is a ton of talk on these discussion boards about the quality of High School baseball... yadda, yadda. Seeing my son's face when he saw his name on the roster - that was just priceless!
Also seem to be seeing more freshman on the Cobb County baseball teams - at least the ones that have been posted. Pretty cool...! |

Yea, a lot of nerves going crazy today between our kids ears. There is definitely a lot of options out there if they do not get selected. If they do not make the cut, just refer to PeachFuzz' last statement.
Good luck to all of you and do not throw in the towel if you don't make it. Plenty of baseball out there and plenty of options... |
