Posted - 01/16/2013 : 12:40:34 Wow - very very sorry to hear.
John truly had a gift connecting with kids - my son left John's lessons with many many awesome nuggets that can/will help him, and goodness is that that there are many others can probably say the same.
Truly a joy to work with! |

Posted - 01/16/2013 : 10:23:50 Memorial service for John on Tuesday was packed. A great tribute was held for a great man. His presence in the baseball community will be immensely missed. He loved the game more than any man I ever knew. He loved working with kids even more. No one even comes close as a pitching instructor. I have posted a picture of John on my back door to see everyday as I leave for work. He was a great inspiration to me and my son. May he never be forgotten and may he rest in peace because in his latter years, he really battled a multitude of health problems, yet he never once complained. A true warrior in every sense of the word. Hopefully, someone will set up a yearly tournament in his honor. I don't think there will ever be anyone like him in the baseball community. |
