Posted - 07/21/2012 : 18:20:26 End cap of my sons Easton Stealth XL came flying off during BP today. It is a composit bat but not cracked etc. Any way to fix this? Dont want to spend hundreds of dollars on a new bat if this can be reliably fixed. Waranty has already expired so that is not an option. Thx |

Posted - 07/23/2012 : 22:43:10 BTW TODDS....Be careful with that little red bat. It doesn't look like or sound like the other teams bats so they can't be legal by popular logic. They are the devil. LOL Our bat was protested or cried(usually cried over because umpires and TDs know the rules) over by coaches and parents in 9 out of 10 games we played this year. But it is the hottest legal bat you can own period, I def suggest fixing it or having it fixed vs. throwing it away!!
Hurricane you can google an image of the inside of a composite bat I think, the inside of that one looks like a black and white graph of composite fibers. |

Posted - 07/23/2012 : 12:42:23 Thx for responses. Wouldnt glueing the cap back on possibly open up some controversy of the bat being altered upon expection? This bat has already been inspected by umpires and coaches on several occasions. Bat has never been altered in any way and the cap is fine/not cracked just came off when hitting BP. Just trying to save a few bucks by not having to buy a new bat. Any other suggestions appreciated. Thx |

Posted - 07/21/2012 : 23:01:40 I have used 2 part epoxy before for this, never came out again. Can get at places like Home Depot or parts store. Make sure it says it bonds plastic. |
