There is more than 6 so I agree with you. |

Posted - 04/24/2012 : 10:34:39 Just seems that this proccess is subjective, and doesn't seem to be consistent analysis from age group to classification.....in my opinion, there seems to be an agenda in regards to keeping certain coaches and programs happy instead of keep a level playing field in regards to keeping teams classified where they should be. |

WCG, We have noticed in our class they are Getting bumped up after dominating a couple of tourneys AND winning a few in a row In Their class. The winning seems to be important and who they played. It also seems to matter how many teams are in each class, they seem to move some down as they move some up, to keep numbers of teams about the same. Weve had a couple come down with around .500 records, but have had a couple bad tourneys in a row before they were moved down. These are just my observations though and I dont in any way know the reasons. Actually I believe ours have been done pretty well by USSSA. |

Posted - 04/24/2012 : 08:36:53 Where would you class a team that has more than 10 players that played the major level last year (successfully) between 2 different teams and they are all on one team now? |

Posted - 04/24/2012 : 06:55:51 They are actually 0-3 vs major teams this Spring, I know for a fact they have 9 returning players from there fall roster and facing a little adversity doesn't warrant being bumped down........have any theory on the opposite spectrum of this conversation, when does a team get bumped up?

Posted - 04/23/2012 : 22:37:01 It wasnt hard to find the team, All those wins came during fall ball ,open roster play. Since January this team looks to be only 1-5 against Major teams. Probably why he let them move down. Maybe different roster when spring came and others went back to regular teams. Dont know for sure , but usually so. Our team did just the opposite, most losses came in fall, then in spring with all players, have won majority. Cant ever tell by fall lineups. |

Posted - 04/23/2012 : 21:57:20 I would rather not call anybody out by name, but its in a younger age group on the east side of town. This team is 10-4 vs major level team, they have 9 players from previous season and this past Fall. In AAA i believe they have a record of 7-2.
I have seen several teams at the aaa level have alot of success in there own class and as well beat a few major teams along the way ..having a power rating near the 1200 level or above, and are now playing up an age group to avoid being bumped up the major level. I mean is this common practice throughout older age groups?
And at what point does USSSA take into consideration a team being bumped up in class? I look at the Major level, if a team has a power rating above the 1200 level, they are pretty much dominating every tourney they play in.

Posted - 04/23/2012 : 16:09:01 We quit trying to figure it out. Alot of movement with no rhyme or reason to some. We just had a team play their first tourney two weeks ago in AA that was the second highest AAA team on the start of the year USSSA reclasses. They never played the first game in AAA and have 8 returning players. The rules say you have to play at least 6 games , before asking to come down, no exceptions. Guess theres some though. |
