Does one measure it from back of home plate to FRONT of first base or to the back of first?

The entire plate is considered to be in fair territory, which is why it's shaped the way that it is with the 90 degree angle in the back running down the foul lines. Everything is measured from the back point of the plate (to bases, to pitching rubber, and distances to fence).

And from the back corner (foul line side/farthest from the plate) of 1st/3rd to the center of 2B.

Back point of home plate to back side of first and third.
