Posted - 01/20/2012 : 09:51:30 How have 13u travel teams in past proceeded deep into a summer season when there are players from different Counties, school districts, and mix of 7th/8th/rising 9th grade school summer teams. Above players will leave the travel team end of May for school summer teams. What does the depleted travel team do specifically 7th grade players that live in districts without middle school ball or pre freshman summer? Does not appear the travel roster in Feb will remain steady thru July. This likely repeats in 14U with 8th graders no option for middle schoolto young for Freshman? |

Recruit kids who can play with you until the end of your season.
Only a couple of years removed from that, but I don't think we had one player in either of those age groups who even tried out for our team who was going to have to leave at the end of school.
Is that a new trend? |
