Posted - 01/17/2012 : 15:14:14 Anyone out there know of anyone that does engraving work on baseball gloves? I just invested a mint in two new gloves 1B and IF, and I'd like to get them engraved with my son's name/number. |

Posted - 01/19/2012 : 20:41:55 I have been restoring vintage gloves and doing repairs for a few years and there are some folks who will embroider gloves after the fact. Check out Kenny's Glove Repair on the web,. He is a retired Rawlings employee and knows everybody in the glove business and will be able to point you in the right direction. The glove will be disassembled to do what you want, so you might as well consider customizing the laces with different colors and adding additional padding if necessary. Custom lacing of gloves runs $50-65. Embroidery about $40-50 And extra padding $25-30. Better price the more you do
If you anyone has any old gloves you want to unload give me shout. I have about 75 or so in my collection and am particularly fond of fielding gloves from the '50's. |

Posted - 01/19/2012 : 14:55:01 Yeah, I've been looking for someone local who does laser engraving. I found a guy off of GA 400 who says he does it. Say's he'll do it while I wait if I bring it on a Saturday...he's the only local person I've found. |

Posted - 01/19/2012 : 14:52:08 I could be wrong but embroidering (stitching the name) the glove has to be before the glove is assembled, you should be able to get it burned or lasered in though. |

Posted - 01/19/2012 : 11:54:12 Talked to Pirate Printing. They said that they have never had any luck with embroidering (sp?) baseball gloves...they don't do laser engraving...thanks for the effort though...

Posted - 01/18/2012 : 10:50:38 Recall a similar post previously. A local company does custom laser engraving - here's the link;

Spoke with them, and the pricing was pretty reasonable.
Hope this helps!

Posted - 01/18/2012 : 08:04:10 May sound funny but try your local Harley dealer. They have people that stitch and engrave things on the leather jackets and things that they wear. |
