Posted - 11/18/2011 : 08:57:20 Recently my son and I were doing a little soft-toss and after we finished the 2nd bucket, he wanted to hit a bucket of live pitches.
At about the 20th pitch mark, he caught one off of the end of the bat and got the most incredible stinger he ever had!!!!
The kid could only stand there and tear up for 5 minutes. Ironically, I had asked him before we started does he worry about hand-stingers when he at the plate in BP or games; he said no, he doesn't think about it.
He might now!
How much difference can a bat make in the players performance? What bats -9, -8, -5 are known for being "sting-free".
Has anyone switched from one bat (what kind) to another bat (what kind) and seen an incredible uptick in performance and confidence because their player was not worried about hand sting?
By the way, we were swinging an Easton Omen 31/21 small barrel with a 1 inch choke. |
