Posted - 05/21/2011 : 18:25:08 You know it's bad when an umpire doesn't even know the count in a key situation that could possibly change the outcome of a game. In the past 2 weekends umpires have lost the count an astonishing 3 times and refused to check the official score book for help. A kid shouldnt have to see 5 balls before they get the walk nor should a pitcher have to throw 4 strikes to get the K. Umps are human and not perfect and should know when to confer with the book when they loose the count. |

Posted - 05/21/2011 : 20:11:26 After watching ball 4 to my nephew I asked the umpire, "hey blue wasn't that ball 4??".....His response, "I don't know.." I asked if he forgot his clicker, he said he didn't own one....And then after the game said, "by the third game I'm worn out"......Pathetic IMO |
