ALL COACHES, PLAYERS, AND FANS:

Triple Crown lost one of its finest officers this past Tuesday night on January 11th, 2011. Andy VonDolteren went to be with the lord and walked through the gates of heaven to join his wife with eternal life.

Andy was a wonderful father to two great sons (Tony and Donny) and loved the game of baseball. He has been around the game for more than 30 years and could be found at any one of our events over the last 5 years. He was always present around the trailer and took pride in selling t-shirts, hats, and other merchandise. You could also find him updating scores and even teasing parents, coaches, and players if they had on an outfit that supported something other than the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA GATORS! HA!

He will be sorely missed and we will be very lost when we get started back up running tournaments this spring 2011 baseball season. I just hope that the coaches will give me a little more patience as I had leaned on my father for many duties during those rough and tough weekends.

The funeral arrangements for my father will take place this weekend. Tomorrow night (Friday) will be the viewing at the Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm. The funeral itself will take place on Saturday at 1pm. The address to the funeral home is 940 Cesery Boulevard.....Jacksonville, FL 32211. In Lieu of Flowers, we are asking individuals to make a donation to a project that was close to my father's heart. He played football, basketball, and track at the Florida School for the deaf and blind. They have set up a musuem there in Saint Augustine and had a lot of my dad's memoriable there and he took pride in helping them any way he could. So we are asking you to make the donation to the following:

ANDY VONDOLTEREN MEMORIAL FUND
FSDB MUSEUM
207 N. SAN MARCO AVENUE
ST. AUGUSTINE, FL 32084

I know my dad will be looking down on every ball game played in the Triple Crown Events. He will be with me in spirit and push me to do my very best in providing all of the teams a quality event. Thank you for all of your prayers and condolences.

Tony and Donny VonDolteren (Georgia Triple Crown Owners)

Tony & Donny,

So sorry to hear about your father. I measure a man based on how he raised his family. So even though I didn't know him he must have been a good man because he was so involved with both of you and turned out a couple of great kids. I am sure he was extremely proud of both of you and, just because he is gone in the flesh, it doesn't mean he won't continue to have an impact on your lives. God Bless.

Tony, I'm very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, there will be a hole in your hearts from this point forward. My suggestion would be to continually fill that hole with fond memories of your father and live your life in a way that will always honor him. I lost my Mom last year and there isn't a day goes by that I don't think of her in some way. God bless you and your family. We will keep you in our prayers.
