Georgia Dugout Club's Youth Coaches Clinic - FREE www.georgiadugoutclub.org/index.php?page=youthcc The Georgia Dugout Club is proud to offer FREE Youth Coaching Clinics this January before the upcoming Spring Season. Each clinic will focus on Fundamentals, Practice Organization and Situations. It is our mission to improve the game of baseball at every level. All Clinics are FREE. Coachs and Fathers of Travel or Recreation Teams are welcome.
Please register online if you plan to attend. Registating online allows each site director to have enough handouts and packets for coachs that attend.
Gwinnett Medical Center presents - Injury Prevention & Coaching Clinic GMC is offering a one-day clinic on injury prevention in youth baseball on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, from 8:15 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Coolray Field. Presenters include: - T. Scott Maughon, MD, chairman of the GMC Sports Medicine Program - Joseph Chandler, MD, director of medical services emeritus, Atlanta Braves - Lloyd Van Pamelen, PT, CSCS, Gwinnett SportsRehab and Atlanta Braves - Brian Snitker, third base coach, Atlanta Braves - Tom Glavine, former professional pitcher, Atlanta Braves. Presentations will cover preventing injuries in pitching, in-season maintenance for the throwing arm, getting the most out of your players, preseason conditioning and identifying the early signs of throwing injuries. Although the clinic is designed for parents and coaches, youth baseball players, ages 16 and up, are welcome to attend. The $30 event fee includes breakfast, lunch and presentation handouts. A reduced rate of $25 per person is available for groups of five or more. Registration is required by Jan. 7, 2011. The first 50 people to register will receive a pair of tickets to a 2011 Gwinnett Braves game and several baseball raffle prizes will be given away.
