Posted - 01/09/2020 : 21:55:21 My son will be playing Perfect Game tournaments for the first time when we move to Georgia from another area. I reviewed the Perfect Game bats rules and I'm a bit confused. Please let me know if any bat used in 12u & 13u must be made out of either metal or wood? Can he use a USA stamped composite bat in 12u? Can he use a BBCOR composite bat in 13u if it has a BPF 1.15 or USA stamp on it? He has been trying to use a metal bat the past few weeks and prefer his USA stamped composite bat by a landslide! |

Thanks for reaching out! Bat rules apply to the age division the player is participating in, NOT the age of the player or the team. (i.e. 12U team playing up in 13U must abide by 13U bat rules).
At 12U:
BPF 1.15 (USSSA), USABat, BBCOR, and wood bats are allowed.
Effective April 7, 2017, the following bats may not be used in Perfect Game events: 2017 CF Zen Balanced (-8) 2017 CF Zen SL 2 3/4" (-10) 2017 CF Zen Zero Dark 2 3/4" (-10) Custom 2017 CF Zen 2 3/4" (-10) Custom 2017 CF Zen Balanced (-8)
Re-tooled models of these bats may be used in Perfect Game play. Once returned from the manufacturer, these new bats will have updated model numbers and new orange end cap and stickers indicating the corrected performance standards.
At 13U:
BPF 1.15, BBCOR, and wood bats are allowed. For all non-wood bats (Alloy, Metal, Metal-Composite, etc.), the maximum length to weight ratio is -5.
Hope this helps, and if you have any further questions feel free to reach out to us any time!
